Lita Jamensky

Lita Jamensky has over 30 years of nursing experience, including hematology, oncology and apheresis nursing to the U. Penn family. She started her nursing career in her native Montreal in Oncology and then later transitioning to Apheresis when her hospital expanded the clinic to include stem cell collections for leukemia and lymphoma patients in the early 90’s.
In her 15 years in the Apheresis Clinic at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Lita’s career has been highlighted with many achievements. In addition to serving as a clinical resource to the nursing staff, she has been the Charge nurse on the Unit for the past five years.
She has published five articles and case reports on various topics, including playing a role in the National TTP registry of which U. Penn was a primary center. She has presented research and sat on panel discussion at ASFA (the American Society for Apheresis).
She was the first nurse in her clinic to achieve Level 3 nurse certification and is the first nurse in the Foundation’s History to receive this award.
